Today, spider veins are treated with sclerotherapy. In this rather simple procedure, veins are injected with a sclerosing solution, which causes them to collapse and fade from view. This may require two to three sessions to obtain maximal results. The procedure is performed in the office and takes approximately thirty minutes to perform. you may be advised to wear support stockings for three days following the procedure.
